Hello everyone, I hope you are all having a fantastic summer!
The last few months have been very busy for me, and while it has not been an easy road, it has been extremely rewarding to build on the success of beating the ice bath world record in late-May. It took several weeks, but my team and I were able to gather and submit all the necessary evidence to Guinness World Records to confirm that I set the new record for longest duration full body contact with ice (male) of 4 hours and 5 minutes. We are now waiting for Guinness to review the evidence and confirm the title, which will likely take several more months.
Over the summer, I have been pursuing new collaborations and establishing a new training program centred around cold water therapy. I am thrilled to have joined forces with Sisu Ice Baths to continue promoting the benefits of controlled cold exposure as part of a vibrant and healthy lifestyle. Ice baths and cold therapy are one of the pillars of Andre Belibi Coaching’s program, along with mindset training and deep breathing exercises. I discovered the powerful, positive effects of cold water five years ago, when I was looking for a natural way to combat depression and anxiety. I can sincerely say that it changed my life, providing me with a path forward and even a new sense of purpose. Of course, a big part of the training that went into my world record attempt was taking regular ice baths, sometimes for more than one hour!
It has been proven that just a few minutes each day in an ice bath provides dramatic and lasting benefits for mental and physical health. I am very pleased to be an ambassador for Sisu, which offers a range of high-quality cold immersion tubs and water chillers that make it safe and convenient to have an ice bath at home year-round. Their roots in the Finnish concept of finding strength and resilience by embracing challenge and discomfort resonates deeply with me.

With the help of my friends at Sisu and around the Calgary area, I have had the privilege of sharing my expertise with many people through speaking events and workshops. Thanks in particular to the Light Cellar, Olympus Boxing Club, and High River Fitness for hosting the Achieve the Extraordinary workshops and allowing me to tell my story to a wide range of clients.
To learn more, you can watch the presentation I gave on June 23 at the Light Cellar’s community open house:
I am excited about what the rest of this year has in store. On August 30 I am heading to Chicago to visit family and friends, and I’m planning to hold a fun and free breathwork and cold plunging session on Sept. 7 at North Lincoln Park for anyone who is interested. Details are available here.
After that, I’m heading back to Europe for a brief visit, including a workshop on Sept. 28 near Manchester, U.K. Details and registration is available here.
And at the beginning of October, I have the opportunity to be involved in a very unique speaking opportunity before an international audience in Calgary. Stay tuned for more details on that in the near future!
In the meantime, I’m planning my next big challenge. This winter, my good friend Wesley William Bauman and I are aiming to set a new world record by running at least 300 kilometers between Calgary and Edmonton in January 2025, wearing only running shoes and shorts. Our mission is to brave the frigid Canadian winter to promote mental health awareness and suicide prevention. We will be sharing more details in the months ahead, and raising funds for this worthy cause, through my GoFundMe page.
I wish you all much health and success, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you would like to discuss how I can help you overcome personal challenges and achieve your extraordinary goals.
Chase Your Worthy Cause,
André
